Stayin' Alive (alternate lyrics)
This song recently infected my brain and when I looked up the lyrics I was struck by two things.
- A “women's man” with no time to talk. Isn't that a big complaint that women have about men? And it's so simple to fix. The “I” is soft or even optional.
- The ad for a newspaper. Why? I'm sure it fit the beat and they didn't overthink it but overthinking things is what I do. My initial thought was something about social media and I landed on “technology” as a close word that fit the beat and current events. (tech•nol•o•gy)
- I also asked ChatGPT 3.5 for ideas and it came up with some decent suggestions although it clearly doesn't know how to count. I think “the city lights effect on man” would better fit the vibe of the song.
