Template Notes

Notes on templates. Special care and feeding they might need or problems that they cause.

The flat template has a generally bloggish style that I like.

• The documentation is lacking.
• It uses Sidebar, topSidebar and bottomSidebar although Sidebar is on top and topSidebar is in the middle.
• Sidebar becomes the top section with little banners.
• topSidebar is the Recent Changes section, although I think it's in French.
• bottomSidebar is labelled About Me. 😡

• Right alignment with the WRAP plugin doesn't work.
• Indenting in unordered lists doesn't work. This was also true for Bootstrap3 (except that one also didn't show the bullets) but they work right with DokuWiki template.
• I assume that to fix “About Me” I'll have to edit a file somewhere.

The Bootstrap3 template has a simple look that has multiple variations available that can be changed by the user with a dropdown.

• I haven't used it for awhile so I don't remember. This is what I use on the work wiki though.

• Indenting in unordered lists didn't work and the bullets didn't show up. It's fine on the work wiki so something with this installation.
